SEX PISTOLS " Pretty Vacunt " / The UGLY " Disorder " & " Baby You Bug Me "

vinyl '45' split single with hand silk screened day-glo picture sleeve.

The Pistols' 1st studio demo session from April '76 & The UGLY's 1st studio session from June '77

Both Produced by British guitar star CHRIS SPEDDING. Artwork created by
San Francisco poster artist extrordinaire FRANK KOZIC.

A shameless attempt by O.P.M. to catapult The UGLY to near cult worldwide status by convincing KOZIC to release this pair of SPED produced punkers on his now defunct MAN's RUIN label. Frank created the artwork and the pic sleeves were hand screened in San Fran somewhere around 1997. These are the last few from the original pressing, never to be printed again.

O.P.M. / MAN's RUIN also collaborated on 3 other singles in this series, pairing the PISTOLS' " Problems " & " No Feelings " with The CURSE and The SOFISTACADOS along with a 20th anniversary edition of VILETONES " Screamin' Fist ". None of these are available anymore nor will they be reprinted.

The UGLY / SEX PISTOLS was the 1st in this series.

Not to be confused with the LAST POGO New Wave UGLY from late '78, this is
the original Punk Rock line-up from 1977. The notorious UGLY as seen in the
OUTRAGE FILM; pirating the show, throwing flaming guitars at the Viletones
and brawling live on-stage with ROCKPILE promoter JOHN BROWER & biker gang
security.

They called themselves ROTTEN 'til they heard about JOHNNY!

Total raw energy & short attention span, these 15 originals & 2 covers
confirm their turf as the outlaws of the Toronto punk underground.. Includes
the Ig's " Lust For Life " recorded live at the Horseshoe Tavern on the bill
with The Cramps, 1978.

They attack rock journalists, pirate other bands' stages unannounced, are
always in and outta jail, throw flaming guitars at their rivals, and
generally misbehave like bikers riding electric guitars while clubs they
play burn to the ground ...and the fans get pissed on...& off. ( whew )
Outta control with no patience for snoids.
